As we age, the face gradually loses volume and support, which can lead to flatter cheeks, deeper folds and a tired look. Hyaluronic acid fillers replace some of that lost volume and attract water to keep skin plump. Because hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed, they are a flexible, well-studied option for natural-looking enhancement.
Filler is placed with a fine needle or flexible cannula, depending on the area. Most products contain lidocaine for comfort, and we can apply numbing cream beforehand. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising can last a few days.
